Overview of optiSLang Web Service

The optiSLang Web Service is a platform to publish, manage and monitor multiple optiSLang projects.

It features a wide range of application and possibilities, driven by the powerful capabilities for defining automatic/standardized workflows within optiSLang. The use of the web service is explicitly not only for CAE/CAD workflows. Through the combination of optiSLang, its web service and the ability to customize, many use cases are possible, including but not limited to:

  • optiSLang expert: Uses the web service to monitor and interact with the optiSLang projects remotely (for example, while it is running in the cloud or they are using another machine)

  • Expert to expert: Creates and publishes workflows (for example, a pre-/postprocessing workflow) that other optiSLang experts can use

  • Expert to anyone: The expert creates and publishes a workflow that can be used by non-experts.

  • Anyone to anyone: A non-expert creates and publishes a small workflow that streamlines daily time-consuming or repetitive work (for example, filling in some cells in an Excel sheet, creating a PowerPoint, copying and pasting).

Any use case benefits from standardization, automation and, in combination with revisioning or SPDM systems (like Ansys Minerva), from traceability.
