The optiSLang Web Service is a platform to publish, manage and monitor multiple optiSLang projects.
It features a wide range of application and possibilities, driven by the powerful capabilities for defining automatic/standardized workflows within optiSLang. The use of the web service is explicitly not only for CAE/CAD workflows. Through the combination of optiSLang, its web service and the ability to customize, many use cases are possible, including but not limited to:
optiSLang expert: Uses the web service to monitor and interact with the optiSLang projects remotely (for example, while it is running in the cloud or they are using another machine)
Expert to expert: Creates and publishes workflows (for example, a pre-/postprocessing workflow) that other optiSLang experts can use
Expert to anyone: The expert creates and publishes a workflow that can be used by non-experts.
Anyone to anyone: A non-expert creates and publishes a small workflow that streamlines daily time-consuming or repetitive work (for example, filling in some cells in an Excel sheet, creating a PowerPoint, copying and pasting).
Any use case benefits from standardization, automation and, in combination with revisioning or SPDM systems (like Ansys Minerva), from traceability.
