3.6.5. Optimize Blade Sequences

  • The goal is to optimize the order of the mistuning parameter so the maximum amplitude of the mode multiplier across the frequencies is minimized.

  • An initial mistuning must be present.

  • The number of random shuffles define the number of times the blade order will be randomly changed and the result evaluated.

  • The best value is then taken as a first point for the iterations. The number of iterations is user defined.

  • While the iteration is running, it is possible to abort. This will save the current best value in the user directory and close Mechanical.

  • Ansys recommendeds using a large number of frequencies. This will not slow down the optimization process while creating better results.
