6.8. Merge Element Edge

Start a new lsprepost: Click File > Import > LD-DYNA Keyword File. Open geometry_merge.k. Click FEM > Element and Mesh > Nurbs Editting.

  1. Select the radio button Merge edge.

  2. Set the Edge gap tolerance threshold. The program will check the element edge gap automatically and merge the edges in case the gap is under the threhold.

  3. Pick two NURBS elements.

  4. Click Apply to refine the NURBS element.

  5. Click Accept to add the new NURBS element into database.
