5.5. Structural Physics Licensing

This section describes licensing schemes for structural physics.

 

5.5.1. Floating Licensing for Structural Physics

To perform a high fidelity structural solve in Discovery, a Mechanical Pro or higher license is required. Discovery looks for and checks out license keys in the following order:

  1. Mechanical Pro: mech_1

  2. Mechanical Premium: mech_2

  3. Mechanical Enterprise Solver: meba

  4. Mechanical Enterprise: ansys

Discovery checks out the license when the solve begins and releases it when the solve completes.

 

5.5.2. Subscription Licensing for Structural Physics

To perform high fidelity structural analysis via a subscription, an Ansys Discovery Structural Physics add-on license (disc_mech_solve_level1) is required.
