External forces
or moments can be applied to different entities.
- Name
Assign a name to the force.
- Load Set
Loads are separated into different sets for different properties. Sets are labelled with integer values.
- LCS
Select the local coordinate system.
- Scale
The scale factor for the value of the force.
- Node Set ID
specifies the ID number of the Node Set.
- Entity Type
Select the entity type to which the forces or moments will be applied.
- Force Type
Uniform
The force is uniformly distributed on all the nodes of the selected entities.
Total
The force is distributed among all the nodes of the selected entities as per FEA concepts.
- Forces
Enter the values of the forces and moments for the corresponding directions.
Note: Applied forces will be represented by a blue arrow, and moments by a brown arrow. If both are applied at any location then a brown arrow will represent both the force and moment.
