Introduction

The implementation of a Scene in EnSight allows the view of your simulation to include both an environment scene (ground plane and background 360 degree sphere image) as well as utilize the environment image from this scene for lighting the scene. You can easily create more realism by adding, for example, a sky scape to show an aerospace model in or a city scape for a structural car crash model, or perhaps a road scene for an external aerodynamic analysis simulation. The goal is that the simulation result can appear as though it is part of a more realistic scene environment.

There are two dialogs that allow you to create a scene. The Ground plane editor allows you to display an infinite ground plane and set its features. To set the scene's environment and lighting, use the Light source editor.

You can access the Ground plane editor via View > Ground plane > Settings.

You can access the Light source editor via View > Lighting.
