Changing Simulation Options Default Settings
Discovery allows the default simulation options to be overridden, without being specified for each simulation. This is useful if, for example, your organizational process requires specific physics models or convergence criteria to be used for all (or most) simulations, which don’t match the Ansys defaults.
To define different default simulation options for all future simulations, go to and make the changes under Simulation Options Defaults. These defaults will apply after the next update to the solution, however, any defaults for user specified simulation options will be set for newly created simulations. Any changes made to the default settings can be reverted to the original Discovery default values using the Reset Simulation Options Settings button.
