For mold-based manufacturing processes, the pull direction defines the direction that
the optimized product will be removed from the mold. A bidirectional pull direction is
specified by default, but you can turn this option off. To set the pull direction:
In the Optimization HUD, expand Manufacturing Constraints and
enable Pull direction.
Double-click Pull direction under
Optimization in the physics tree to define the direction.
In the Pull Direction HUD, enter X, Y,
and Z values or select a location in the geometry to set the Pull
direction, which aligns with the selected face normal as indicated by the arrow.
Double-click the arrow to reverse the direction.
Select Bidirectional to indicate the optimized product can be
removed from the mold from both sides. This option is on by default.
