For a 3D printing process, you can define the growing direction of the manufacturing
process. To specify the overhang prevention:
In the Optimization HUD, expand Manufacturing Constraints and
enable Overhang prevention.
Double-click Overhang prevention under
Optimization in the physics tree to define the direction.
In the Overhang Prevention tool, enter X,
Y, and Z values or select a location in
the geometry to set the direction, which aligns with the selected face normal as indicated
by the arrow. Double-click the arrow to reverse the direction.
For Maximum overhang, enter a value for the maximum allowable
inclination angle. You can also enter this value directly in the physics tree.
