Checking the Topology in Preparation for Sharing

  1. Review the problem areas, if any, that the tool identifies and try to fix them.
Problem areas will be highlighted in red.
  2. Enter a Coincidence tolerance in the Options list.
Objects that are within this distance from each other will be considered coincident.
Note: The tolerance should be as small as possible to avoid collapsing small edges.
  3. Select the type of topology you would like to find.
Short edges, slivers, duplicate edges, and duplicate faces are selected by default. You can also select self-intersections and misalignments, however, they can take longer to find.
  4. Select the highlighted object and choose to convert it to a selection.
