Hiding and Showing Objects

You can use any of these methods for setting the visibility of objects in the graphics window:

Note: Shift+click and Ctrl+click multiple objects to work with them as a group.
View only a single object Right-click an object in the graphics window and select Hide Others to view only that solid, surface, or curve.
Make all objects visible Right-click anywhere in the graphics window and select Show All to make all objects visible.
Keep an object visible even if you hide its layer Right-click an object in the model tree and select Always Visible from the context menu. The object will remain visible if you hide its layer, but this setting has no effect on other visibility commands such as Isolate or hiding its parent component by deselecting its check box in the model tree.
Hide an object Deselect the check box in the model tree to hide the object in the graphics window. The object icon is displayed in gray. You can also right-click an object in the graphics window and select Hide to turn the visibility of the object off.
Set object to the layer visibility

Select the check box next to the object in the model tree to set the visibility of the object to the layer visibility. If the layer is hidden, then the object will be hidden. If the layer is visible, then the object will be visible.

Note: If the layer visibility is on, the icon appears normally. If the layer visibility is off, the icon appears like the icon. You cannot work with hidden objects in the graphics window.

You can use any of these methods for setting the visibility of faces:

Hide one or more faces Right-click a face and select Face > Hide Face to hide the selected faces. Hidden faces allow objects behind them to be selected without using the scroll wheel.
Hide all faces except for those selected Right-click a face and select Face > Hide Other Faces to hide all faces but those selected.
Invert the current visibility state for all faces Right-click a face and select Face > Inverse Face Visibility to make visible hidden faces (even those hidden By Body) and hide any visible faces.
Show all faces Right-click a face and select Face > Show All Faces to make all faces visible, whether they were hidden By Face or By Body

Note: You can also select Show Faces and Hide Faces from the Visibility section of the Display tab.
