Defined Variations Test Cases and Generator

A test (or load) case is a collection of physics parameters that can be used with multiple defined variations.

Use the Test Cases tab to create and manage test cases. Each row in the table represents a test case and can be selected using a checkmark. All functionality resides in the toolbar:

  • Add a test case manually
  • Generate test cases for a range of values automatically
  • Show/hide columns in the table
  • Duplicate a test case
  • Delete a test case
  • Manage physics conditions

The Test Cases Generator creates test cases based on:

  • one or more identified parameters that you choose,
  • a range of values that you’ve defined and either the interval for each within that range, or the number of test cases you want to pull out of that range

As you identify the parameter and defined value ranges, the generator gives you immediate feedback on the number of test cases that will be created.
