Extract Curves Tool Guides

The following tool guides help step you through the process. Use the Tab key to cycle through them. As soon as the tool guide switches, the cursor may change to reflect the active guide.


Select Section Planes	The Select Section Planes tool guide is active by default. Use it to select one or more planes that intersect the faceted body.
Select Curve	Use the Select Curve tool guide to select a new plane intersecting the faceted body.

Extract Curves Tool Options

The following options are available:


Fit curves	Use Fit curves to create lines or arcs based on faceted models. From here, you can project the curves to a sketch to rebuild a solid model from a faceted model.
Tolerance	When using the Fit curves option, the Tolerance setting adjusts how closely the created curves match the faceted body. Lower numbers will generally use more lines or arcs, generating a more precise curve.
Auto-merge	Merge lines and arcs to form spline curves.
