8.15.2. Ansys Meshing Files

Both .cmdb files (created in the Meshing application) and .dsdb files (created in Simulation) behave the same in CFD-Post as .gtm (and .def) files. For details, see File Types Used and Produced by CFD-Post.

Note:

  • You must have Ansys Workbench installed in order to be able to load Ansys Meshing files (cmdb and dsdb) into CFX-Pre or CFD-Post.

  • CFD-Post does not support .cmdb files generated by the Meshing application prior to Release 11.0.
