Operating Conditions

The Operating Conditions key gives information about conditions of usage for the sensor. There are 4 sub-keys to fill:
  • Gain
  • Offset
  • Exposure Time
  • Temperature

Gain and Offset

Gain and Offset sub-keys are camera setting that you can adjust.
  • Offset adds or subtracts a constant value to your signal.

Offset unit is DN (Digital Number).

  • Gain multiplies your signal by a constant factor.

Gain unit is Db or RN (Real Number).

Both sub-keys are applied just before generating raw image.

Default values are 0 and 1.

CAUTION: Do not confuse Gain and System Gain.
   Gain:
      Value: 1
Unit: RN # in Db or RN (RN for Real Number)
   Offset:
      Value: 0
Unit: DN # in DN only (DN for Digital Number)

Exposure Time

The Exposure Time key gives the duration on which the sensor has collected photons. The value must be the same as the one used for the Speos simulation used to generate the Exposure map.

Exposure Time unit is us (not "µ", but "u"), ms or s.

   Exposure Time:
      Value: 10
Unit: ms # s, ms, us (do not use 'µ')

Temperature

The Temperature key gives the camera temperature when used.

Temperature unit is C (not "°C") or K.

   Temperature:
      Value: 25
      Unit: C # in C or K
