Pixel Size

The Pixel Size test gives the angle in minute of arc (arcmin) of the pixel on the virtual image.

Pixel Size = (Pixel Top Length + Pixel Right Length + Pixel Left Length + Pixel Bottom Length) / 4

Pixel Size = (2 * atan (Pixel Size / (2 * Distance)))

In detail:

For each sample VIij of the virtual image, the Pixel Size gives the mean in arcmin, over the sample EBij of the binocular eyebox, of the size of the pixel on the sample VIij of the virtual image seen by the sample EBij of the binocular eyebox.

The result of the computation is displayed as a table that contains the Pixel Size computed for each sample VIij of the virtual image.

In particular, you can notice that:
  • There is one table result by configuration created.
  • Each table has the size of the sampling of the virtual image.

The test also displays a sum up, for each configuration, of the Average, the Standard deviation, the Minimum and the Maximum of the value contained in the table.
