TIR Lens Overview
The Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens is a cone shaped optical component designed to collimate light.
Optical lenses are made to converge or diverge light. The Total Internal Reflection lens is a collimating optical component that is highly efficient to capture and redirect light emitted from a light source.
In Speos, the light source is represented by a focus point, placed inside the system.
The output beam is collimated along the optical axis direction after passing through the lens.

The light source defined at the focus point is generally a LED located on a printed circuit board (PCB).
