Understanding the Interactive Preview

The Interactive Preview allows you to visualize the grid of the Optical Surface, the support used, its source, its projected grid on the support.

Source

All source types can be displayed:
  • Point Source: point highlighted in the 3D view
  • Extended Source: emitting surface highlighted in the 3D view

Target

The preview of the target is useful to correctly define your target and avoid useless steps of try and error.

Thin X and Y axes represent the axis system of the target.

Facet Information

The Facet Information corresponds to the beam parameters of the facet you are hovering over. Facet Information is useful when your Optical Part Design feature is using multiple groups or an Excel file.

The Facet Information is always displayed when hovering over a facet.
