Micro Optical Stripes Overview

The Micro Optical Stripes feature helps you create a feasible light guide by defining a Tool Bit Shape used for processing the Light Guide mold.

The Micro Optical Stripes feature is a light guide whose body is based on two guide curves, and the stripes are created thanks to a tool bit shape that designs the mold of the light guide. Light travels through the guide thanks to successive total internal reflections and a part of this light is extracted through reflection on the stripes.

Light Guides are optical components that are highly efficient in transmitting light. For this reason, they have various possible applications.

They are commonly used for interior design, accent lighting, backlighting, exterior lighting or tail lamps.
