Removing a User

Prerequisites: To remove a user from an organization you must have an Account Owner (ASC) or Admin role.

If you have an Admin role, you can only remove users with the Engineer role (or change their role). To remove a user with the Admin role, you must have the Account Owner (ASC) role.

Important: Removing a user will disassociate their account from the organization and remove any product assignments they previously held.

Removed users will still:

  • Have an Ansys ID SSO login

  • Have access to any support tickets they created while associated with your organization

Removed users will no longer have access to:

  • Information about other users at your organization in Ansys Admin Portal

  • Products owned and managed by your organization in Ansys Admin Portal or Licensing Portal

  • Projects or simulations associated with your organization in Ansys Engineering Portal

  1. In the navigation pane, select Users.
  2. For the user that you want to remove, click and select Remove user.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, select Remove user.
    Note: If you must ensure that this user can no longer access their technical support history, contact your Ansys sales representative for assistance.
