Chip Zone
The Chip Zone is a radial surface extension built on top of the clear aperture. Here clear aperture is defined either by the clear semi-diameter, semi-diameter or by the circular aperture. Chip Zone surface curvature is the same as for the clear semi-diameter or semi-diameter. Chip Zone does not change Semi-Diameter value, it is built on top of it, and is a non-traceable area. By default the Chip Zone is set to zero. Chip Zone functionality may be supplemented by the Semi Diameter margins for general system-wide changes. Semi Diameter margins may be disabled for a particular surface, for details see "Semi Diameter margins" chapter.
Chip Zone has three solve types: fixed, pick-up, and the zpl macro.
