Licensing

Scade One offers two methods for license management:

  • Ansys License Manager

Scade One uses the Ansys License Manager for license purposes. Scade One 2024 R2 requires version 2023 R2 or more recent of the Ansys License Manager to be downloaded from the Ansys Customer Portal.

For complete information on running the Ansys License Manager, refer to the ANSYS, Inc. Licensing Guide available from Ansys Customer Portal.

Consult Licensing to learn about Scade One license modes. Note that Basic mode (Scade One Essential) can be used with existing Ansys SCADE Suite Advanced Modeler and Ansys SCADE Suite KCG Code Generator – C and Ada license tokens.

  • Ansys Shared Web Licensing

Ansys Shared Web Licensing is a web-based service for managing and using Ansys software licenses. It eliminates the need for Ansys customers to install, configure, and manage license servers. Shared Web licenses can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. Pools of licenses can be shared by multiple users.

Not all Ansys products are supported by Shared Web Licensing. The list of supported products is growing rapidly with each Ansys release. Contact your Ansys Account Manager or Channel Partner for the list of currently supported products.

You can use Shared Web services by setting the following environment variable before installing Scade One:

    Variable NameValuesUsage
    ANSYS_LICENSING_SHARED_WEB1Enabling Shared Web

To enable offline usage, the Shared Web Licensing service offers also a Roaming mode. You can activate this mode from the LicensingSettings.exe utility located at Scade One\ACL\v[ReleaseNumber]\licensingclient\winx64 in Scade One installation. Go to Web Licensing > Shared > Roaming tab.

For complete information on using the Shared Web Licensing service, refer to the ANSYS Shared Web Licensing User’s Guide available from Ansys Customer Portal.
Note: A valid account is required for accessing the customer portal. Please contact your sales representative for login and password information.

Bundled Applications

SCADE Rapid Prototyper 2024 R2 is bundled with Scade One Studio and allows to create interactive graphical panels, used for simulation and debug. It is delivered as a separate installer, that can be downloaded from Ansys portal. SCADE Rapid Prototyper 2024 R2 installation can be launched automatically at the end of Scade One installation, provided that both executables are located in the same folder.

Ansys System Architecture Modeler (SAM) is a web-based SysML v2 modeler, with real-time collaboration capabilities. SAM is bundled with Scade One Essential (2 named users) and Scade One Studio (10 named users). Please contact your sales representative for access to SAM, that requires a specific server-side installation procedure.
