Macro Facility

The Macro Facility provides a way to automate common actions in ModelCenter. Macros build on the same scripting capabilities used by Script Components (Legacy). Macros can be written using common languages such as VBScript and JScript .

Common applications of macros include but are not limited to:

• Model Initialization - set the values of key variables to specific values.
• Convergence - solve a workflow by running components until a desired state is achieved.
• Data Exchange - load data from or save values to an external application such as Excel.
