MMPDS
Updates to the MMPDS-2025 data tables, part of the Advanced Materials – Aerospace data bundle.
Metallic Materials Properties Development & Standardization (MMPDS) data (formerly MIL-HDBK-5) is the preeminent source for aerospace component design allowables relating to alloys and fasteners. MMPDS is maintained via an Industrial Steering Group of leading engineering organizations, of which Ansys is an active member.
MMPDS contains around 2,500 records of statistically-derived design data for aerospace alloys in various forms and thicknesses, plus information on the temperature dependence of mechanical properties, stress-strain, creep and fatigue curves, and corrosion rankings. It also includes a complete fastener database of over 400 sheet metal/fastener combinations.
- New records for 2050 aluminum and for Inconel 718.
- Revisions to some fatigue S/N and fatigue crack growth curves.
- Improvements to formatting of elongation data to allow easier comparison and export.
