Restricted Substances analysis and reporting
Granta MI Restricted Substances and Sustainability is an optional package for Granta MI that supports regulatory risk and compliance analysis and reporting. The MI Restricted Substances package can help you risk assess your in-house materials and specifications, and identify compliant materials.

- Searching Restricted Substances data
- Click Substances to open the Restricted Substances: Risk
assessment page, where you will find a number of useful, preconfigured search queries.
- Use the pre-defined queries under the Materials Management, Products and Parts Management, and Specification Management headings to find materials, articles, or specifications that may be linked to substances that are at risk.
- Under EU REACH Risk Assessment, perform searches of MaterialUniverse, ProcessUniverse, and Coatings data to help you understand where restricted substances on the EU REACH Candidate List or SIN 2.1 (Substitute It Now!) list may be found within your organization.
- Analysis reports
When the Granta MI Restricted Substances Reports software is installed on your Granta MI application server, reports that may be used to analyze restricted substance risks in materials or substances in your Record List will be available on the Reports page.
Reports that are relevant to the data currently in your record list will be listed under the Run Reports heading, for example.

The reports that you see listed will depend on your software version, and on the data currently in your Record List:

You identify the records of interest and select the report type in MI Viewer and then submit a report job to the Granta MI job queue. The data is fetched and analyzed, and the report is generated in a background process, so that you can continue with other tasks while the report is running.
