Welcome
Ansys Granta MI Mat Analyzer enables detailed plotting, visual exploration, and statistical analysis of your materials data. For example, to probe process or property relations.
You can create a range of different types of plot, including 2-D and 3-D scatter, heat maps and surface plots, and statistical plots. Plots can be annotated with fitted curves and specification limits. Using the Statistical Calculation Module, you can calculate key statistical information such as mean, maximum, minimum, standard deviation, and curve averaging.
You can use MI Mat Analyzer to investigate trends, relationships, and variations of your
Granta MI data, for example:
- Understand the effects of process parameters (For example, Additive Manufacturing, forging, molding) on final properties
- Explore the effects of heat treatments, chemical composition and microstructure on final properties
- Understand statistical variation of your data
- Calculate statistical summary of any data using the Statistical Calculation Module, such as test results, research data, and QA data.
The images below are full-size screenshots of some typical plots.

Note: MI Mat Analyzer uses MATLAB Runtime, a standalone set of shared libraries that enables
the execution of compiled applications or components on computers that do not have
MATLAB installed. For more information about MATLAB plotting capabilities, consult the
MATLAB documentation website.
