Changes to pre-defined feature packages

Affects upgrades from MI Materials Gateway version 2025 R1 and earlier.

In the sample gateway.config file provided with the software, the pre-defined feature package DefaultCAE_Ansys (previously used for Ansys Workbench integrations) is no longer included as a separate package.

The DefaultCAE_Import package now contains all features that were previously in DefaultCAE_Ansys, and Ansys Workbench integrations are now configured to use DefaultCAE_Import by default.

If you are using a customized version of DefaultCAE_Ansys (or any other custom package) for Ansys Workbench, you can continue to use it after upgrading MI Materials Gateway, by merging your existing cutomizations into the new gateway.config file. If you do this, ensure that:

The DefaultCAE_Ansys package (or your custom package) is present in the merged file.
In each <Role> configuration, the <addPackage> entry for Ansys Workbench is set to DefaultCAE_Ansys (or your custom package). For example:
