You can choose search filters that meet specific search
requirements. Choose the properties and values you are interested in, save these criteria so
you can run the same search again, and share a saved search with other users who are working
on related projects.
To create a custom search:

Click
Create
a new Custom Search to start a new search.
- Optional:
If prompted, select the data view.
The data view defines the database and table that will be searched.

Enter any search terms.

To restrict your search to records in specific Favorites
Lists or folders in the database Tree, use
the controls below the Search box.

To add search criteria, enter a material property name, and then specify the
required value or range.
Tip: You can organize property filters
into groups. Click Add Group, and add properties to
your group by typing the property name in the search box. You can rename,
reorder, and delete groups using the filter panel controls.

To save your search, click Save, then enter a name for
your search and, optionally, a description and some notes.
After saving, you can access your saved search from both the Granta MI web
application and MI Materials Gateway:
- To run a saved custom search from the Granta MI web application, click
Custom Searches then select the search, and click
Run this search now.
- To run a saved custom search from MI Materials Gateway, choose Custom
Search, click
View saved searches, and
then select a search and click
Run this search now.
