Searching

If you know what you are looking for, you can search for key words in record names and text-based attributes. Unlike browsing, searching looks for matches across all the tables in a selected database.

You can open a record's datasheet to view the data it contains by double-clicking the record name in the search results. Double-click a generic record to view information about a material class. For more information about the different record types in Granta Selector, see Records and datasheets.

To search for key words:
  1. Click Search.
  2. Optional: To select the database to search, click Change and select the database from the list.
  3. Type your search term in the search box and click .
Tip: You can use search operators to fine-tune your query.
