View and manage your assignments

In Creo, NX, Teamcenter, and Windchill, the assignments panel in the lower half of the MI Materials Gateway window shows the Granta MI materials that are currently assigned. If other types of assignment (processes, surface treatments, colors) are enabled, these are shown in additional columns.

Tip: In Creo and NX, you can view the full assembly or work part in the assignments

panel by clicking MI Materials Gateway in the application toolbar or ribbon.

To see more information about an assignment, right-click and select View datasheet.
This displays information from the Granta MI database.
To update a version-controlled assignment, right-click and select Update.
To remove an assignment, right-click and select Remove > Material.
This deletes the Granta material from the part or body (as applicable) in your CAD or PLM application.
Tip: To remove a process, surface treatment, or color assignment, right-click and select Remove followed by the assignment type.
To copy and paste assignments from one part to another (when assigning to parts), or from one body to another (when assigning to bodies), use the right-click menu.
Note:
- If process, surface treatment, or color assignments are enabled, copying and pasting a row of assignments will overwrite all assignments in that row.
- If alternate assignments are enabled, you can either copy and paste a single row of assignments, or copy and paste all assignments on a part or body. See Assigning alternate materials.

If an assignment is marked as missing , this means that it can no longer be found in your Granta MI database (for example, because it has been deleted or withdrawn). Where possible, its name is shown to help you find a suitable replacement.
