Custom Search using filters

Choose Custom Search to search within a single material table. You can filter using Favorites Lists, specify values for material properties, view your results as a list or scatter plot, and plot graphs to compare curve data.

To search:
  1. In the MI Materials Gateway navigation bar, select Custom Search.
  2. In the filter panel on the left, choose the material Table that you want to search.
The tables you can select depend on your current Profile.
Tip: You can change your Profile using on the left of the Quick Search bar. For more information, see Choose your profile.
  3. Optional: To search for text in material records, enter a search term.
You can use search operators to help refine your query.
  4. Optional: To restrict your search to records in specific Favorites lists or folders, use the controls below the Search box:

Favorites list Choose one or more Favorites Lists to restrict your search to the records in the selected lists.
Note: If you select multiple lists you will find results in any of the lists that you select.

  5. Optional: To add search criteria, enter a material property name, and then specify the required value or range.
