Pass/Fail Report
Click the Pass/Fail Report link to create a report that shows which records met and did not meet each of your search criteria.
This report shows all records which have passed at least one of the search criteria. Records that do not pass any of the search criteria (this includes record type) will not appear in the Pass/Fail Report.
A tick indicates a 'Pass' for that criteria, a cross indicates a Fail. You can click any row to see the data values for that record. For example:
Click a column heading to sort the results by that property (but note that functional data values can't be sorted).
Note that, where the search criteria includes a text search, the paths ('breadcrumbs') of all records and folders are searched, and so you may see records/folders in the Pass/Fail Report that do not explicitly include the search term. This is because the path for each record and folder in the database includes the names of all its parent folders, going all the way back up the tree.
For example, the records/folders identified below will all appear in the Pass/Fail Report for a search query that includes the search term "non-ferrous", even when the search term does not appear anywhere in the record/folder name or in the record data, or when the search criteria specifies that only records and not folders should be returned by the search, because the search term occurs in the path:
