Working with Tabular data
Tabular Attributes are used to store complex data that is displayed as a table of rows and columns.
Tabular Attributes are often used in Granta MI to provide a summary of information related to the record. They can include data that is pulled from other records in the same or a different Table, or even in a different database. For example:
Tabular Attributes can include local data and linked data.
- Local Data is stored locally within the record whose datasheet you are viewing, and may be edited.
- Linked data is relevant data that comes from other records. You cannot edit the linked data in a Tabular Attribute.
Where Tabular data appears as a link, you can click the link to open the datasheet for the target (linked) record.
