Import job summary

The status of each import job, and a summary of the actions that have been performed can be accessed by double-clicking the import job.

The import job summary includes:
  • How many new records were created.
  • How many existing records were updated.
  • How many errors were reported during the import operation.
  • How many records could not be imported (for example, because of the Merge setting in the import options).

The number of 'tasks' reported here relates to individual import steps logged by the importer. Details of each task can be viewed in the job log file.

Where errors occurred, these are summarized here. For Excel files, the workbook, worksheet and cell where the problem originates is identified, where possible, to help troubleshooting, for example:

You can download an import job log from the server by clicking Log.

This log contains detailed information about each task in the import job, including the template that was used, the name of each record created or updated, each Attribute that was populated by the import, and details of any issues or data errors that occurred. For example:
