Withdrawing a Favorites List

Published Favorites Lists can be withdrawn, so that they are no longer available. For example, you may wish to withdraw a list because it has been superseded by a newer list.

When a list is withdrawn, all subscriptions to it are cancelled, and only List Administrators and the List Author can see it. If required, the withdrawn list can be re-published, and people can re-subscribe to it.

To submit a withdrawal request:
  1. Select the list in the Lists panel, then right-click and choose Publish > Request Withdrawal.
A 'Pending approval' flag will then be shown in the list status area, but the list will remain published until the withdrawal is approved. The List Publisher in your organization must now review your withdrawal request, and approve or reject it.
  2. Optional: To cancel your withdrawal request, right-click and choose Publish > Cancel Withdrawal Request.
  3. If you have List Publisher privileges, you can approve or reject list withdrawal requests. Right-click the list and choose from:
    • Publish > Approve and Withdraw List
    • Publish > Cancel Withdrawal Request
If the request is approved, the list is withdrawn. If the request is rejected, the list remains published and the 'Pending approval' flag is removed.
Note: The person who submitted the request will not receive any automatic notification about the approval or rejection of their request.
