Specifying selection criteria for a limit stage: Numeric attributes

Numeric limits - minimum, maximum, or range - can be specified for range, point, and integer data.

You can cut, copy, and paste values here.

For the numerical attributes Range, Point, Functional Range, and Functional Point, data values can be entered as:

  • an integer e.g. 456
  • a decimal e.g. 123.456, -0.000123456
  • formatted with an exponent e.g. 456e10 or 123.456e9

with a maximum of 6 significant figures.

For Integer attributes, data values can be entered as an integer e.g. 456, with a maximum of 6 significant figures.

Click the Limit Guidance button for help on the maximum and minimum value in the database for a material class. Limit guidance charts are only available for some attributes.

For many attributes, you can click the attribute name to view additional notes about it.

If a reference record is set, its values for each property are shown alongside the selection criteria in the Limit Stage window, for example:

Set the selection criteria and then click Apply. This performs the selection and updates the Selection Results window.
