Rendering Objects as Wireframes or Solids
To render (display) all objects in the view window as wireframe outlines, flat-shaded solids, or smooth-shaded solids:
- Select View> Render and click one of the following:
- Wire Frame:
The objects in the view window appear as skeletal structures, enabling you to see all sides of the objects at one time. Objects in wireframe mode retain the same coloring as in smooth shaded mode.
You can also use the F6 key to display a wireframe view.
- Smooth Shaded:
The objects in the view window are displayed as shaded objects with smooth edges. Note that when you interact with an object (for example, dragging or rotating) in smooth shaded mode, that object will temporarily shift to wireframe mode. Once you place the object, it will revert back to the smooth shaded display.
You can also use the F7 key to display a smooth shaded view.
- Wire Frame:
To render a single object in the view window as a wireframe outline:
- Select the object you want to render as a wireframe.
- In the Attribute tab of the docked Properties window, select Display Wireframe.
