Getting Started with Icepak

Icepak™ is an interactive software package for calculating the thermal and fluid behavior of an electronic component. The software includes post-processing commands for analyzing this behavior in detail.

Using Icepak, you can compute:

• Thermal solution data, such as temperature, heat flux, and heat flow
• Fluid flow solution data, such as flow rate and speed

You are expected to draw or import the structure, specify material characteristics for each object, and identify ports and special surface characteristics.
