Creating a Report from a Report Data File
Using the Report Data File (RDAT) format, you can save (export) a report from one design, and import it into a different design (or even the same design). This lets you take a static snapshot of a set of simulation data and view it at a later stage of the design process, or view the same data set in one or more different designs.
To save a report to a Report Data File:
- Create a report.
- Right-click in the report window (or right-click the desired report icon in the Project tree) and select Export to open the Export Report dialog box.
- Select the Report Data files option (.rdat) in the Save as type drop-down list.
- Navigate to the desired location and either create a file name or select an existing file for the exported report, then click Save.
To create a report from an existing Report Data File:
- Right-click the Results folder in the Project tree and select Create Report From File.
- Browse to select the desired Report data file (.rdat) and click Open.
- The selected report is added to the design and opens in a new report window.
