Importing 2D Plot Data
To import 2D plot data into a report:
- Click Report2D on the top menu, and select Import Data.
- Browse to the directory where the data file is located.
- Select the file format from the Files of type drop-down:
The Open dialog box appears.
- *.csv – Comma delimited data files.
- *.tab – Tab delimited data files.
- *.dat – Ansoft PlotData files.
- *.txt – Post processor format files.
- *.rdat – Ansoft Report Data files.

- Select the file.
- Click Open to import and plot the data, or Cancel to close the dialog box without importing any data.
Note:
For a report trace where the primary sweep is NOT the same as the x-component, an export report then import report may not produce the same curve. In this circumstance, only *.rdat import the same curve/trace. For other formats, the import produces two separated traces.
