HFSS 3D Layout Modes

For a transmission line with a given cross-section, there is a series of basic current patterns (modes) that satisfy Maxwell’s equations at a specific frequency. Any linear combination of these modes can exist on the transmission line. By default, the system computes only the dominant mode current pattern.
