Independent Variables for X-Parameters

The independent variables in the X-parameter file are real values, indexed by fundamental, port, and harmonic numbers.

X-Parameter Independent Variables

Independent Variable

Description

fund_k

kth fundamental frequency.

VDC_p

DC voltage applied to port p. Mutually exclusive with IDC_p at the same port.

IDC_p

DC current applied to port p. Mutually exclusive with VDC_p at the same port.

AN_p_n

Magnitude of Reference large-signal input to port p at harmonic n. One AN variable must be present for each fundamental.

AM_p_n

Magnitude of any other large-signal input to port p at harmonic n other than the Reference Signal AN_p_n. Required when AP_p_n is used at same port and harmonic.

AP_p_n

Phase in degrees of any other large-signal input to port p at harmonic n other than the Reference Signal AN_p_n. Required when AM_p_n is used at same port and harmonic.

GM_p_n

Magnitude of the reflection coefficient of the load at port p, harmonic n. Required when GP_p_n is used at the same port and harmonic. Mutually exclusive with the other formats for specifying load at the same port p and harmonic n.

GP_p_n

Phase in degrees of the reflection coefficient of the load at port p, harmonic n. Required when GM_p_n is used at the same port and harmonic. Mutually exclusive with the other formats for specifying load at the same port p and harmonic n.

GX_p_n

GY_p_n

Real and imaginary parts of the reflection coefficient. Mutually exclusive with the other formats for specifying load at the same port p and harmonic n.

ZM_p_n

ZP_p_n

Magnitude and phase of the load impedance. Mutually exclusive with the other formats for specifying load at the same port p and harmonic n.

ZX_p_n

ZY_p_n

Real and imaginary parts of the load impedance. Mutually exclusive with the other formats for specifying load at the same port p and harmonic n.
