Importing Component Files

SIwave allows you to import component files generated by third-party layout tools. You do not have to re-draw components while transferring the design.

To import an existing component file into SIwave:

  1. Click Import > Component File.

    2. The Open window appears.

  2. Select the file that you want to import.

    3. You can select a particular Component File (.cmp). This file contains detailed pin information for discrete devices, input/output devices and integrated circuits and is generated during design data transfer from 3rd-party layout tools into SIwave.

  3. Click Open.

    4. This reads the selected file into the current window.
