Surface Current Density

For impedance boundary, the Surface Current Density, Jsurf, is computed as the cross product of the surface normal of the impedance boundary and the difference between H fields on the top and bottom of the boundary., and is given by the following equation:

where

• n is the surface normal vector.
• (H_top – H_bottom) is the difference between H fields on the top and bottom of the impedance boundary.

In order to calculate the surface current density, you must first select a surface in the modeling window.
