Stator Vent Data for Three-Phase Synchronous Machines
To insert a vent on a stator for a three-phase synchronous machine:
- Right-click on the stator icon in the Project Manager tree to display the shortcut menu.
- Click Insert Vent.
The vent icon appears in the Project Manager tree under the stator.
To remove an existing vent item,
- Right-click on the stator icon in the Project Manager tree to display the shortcut menu.
- Click Remove Vent.
This removes the vent item from the Project Manager tree.
To access the Vent properties for a vent, double-click on a vent item. The Vent Properties window contains the following fields.

Vent Ducts |
The number of radial vent ducts. |

Duct Width |
The width of the radial vent ducts. |

Magnetic spacer width |
Width of magnetic spacer which holds vent ducts. O for non-magnetic spacer. |

Duct pitch. |
Center-to-Center distance between two adjacent Vent ducts |
