Field Definitions for the 3D AC Conduction Solver

The fields can have different definitions in harmonic problems, mainly when dealing with lossy materials. In this section the fields available in the 3D AC conduction solver are presented.

Surface charge density (Qsurf)

scalar and complex

or

where

  • E1 is the electric field and ε1 the permittivity in the material on one side of the boundary.

  • E2 is the electric field and ε2 the permittivity in the material on opposite side of the boundary.

  • n is the normal vector of the surface.
