Defining the General Data for a Three-Phase Synchronous Machine
Use the General Data Properties window to define the power settings, speed, and efficiency of the generator. This window allows you to define the basic parameters of the synchronous generator, such as power, voltage, winding connections, and losses.
To define the general data:
- To open the General Data Properties window, double-click the Machine entry in the project tree on the desktop. (You can also enter values in the Properties section of the desktop without opening a separate window.)
- Enter the number of poles for the machine in the Number of Poles field. This value is the total number of poles in the stator (or the number of pole pairs multiplied by two).
- Enter the power lost through frictional forces in the Frictional Loss field.
- Enter the wind loss measured at the reference speed in the Wind Loss field.
- Enter the given speed in the Reference Speed field.
- Click OK to close the Properties window.
