Checking the Mesh

Icepak provides three ways to check the quality of your mesh: face alignment, element volume, and skewness.

Face alignment, element volume, and skewness results are shown for 3D elements or cell elements.

Note:

When a mesh is loaded in the Mesh Viewer and you click the Quality tab, Icepak calculates the mesh quality results (face alignment, element volume, and skewness). The calculation will not occur again unless changes to the model require the mesh to be regenerated.
