Setting Layer Order and Elevations

Layer order is the sequence of physical layers in a stackup along the Z-axis. The order of the layers and their physical thickness determine the elevation of each layer.

Elevation in a stackup is the distance from zero (0) on the Z-axis to a point in a specified layer in a design's global coordinate system. A layer’s lower elevation is the lowest point of the layer, while its upper elevation is the highest point of the layer. Depending on the type of stackup, change a layer’s elevation without changing the layer’s position in the stackup.
